Weber Gas BBQs Spirit, Genesis & Summit Barbecues on Sale
Instead of being made from porcelainized cast iron, the grill grates on the Genesis E-325s are made from thick stainless steel rods. The advantage of stainless steel is its resistance to rust and corrosion. So it’s possible the E-325s might not deliver as dark a sear on foods as the Spirit II models. But for the average home griller, the difference in performance between the two would hardly be noticeable. The really important part is that the entire heat-delivery system—the firebox, burners, and burner hoods—has a much greater effect on the overall results of your food. And all those elements are of the same great quality we’ve consistently seen on Weber grills.
For one thing, this grill has an externally mounted propane tank, which is easier to install and replace than traditional, under-grill tanks (like on our current upgrade pick). And this type of tank also frees up the area under the grill for storage of tools and other items. With the Genesis II E-310, we didn’t notice a significant upgrade in performance over that of the Spirit II E-310.
But unlike the Spirit II E-310, the Genesis sits on a closed cart (equipped with double doors) that glides on four casters for easier mobility. Yet its three-burner grilling surface is big enough weber bbq, weber gas grill to cook a complete meal (meat or fish and a couple of veggies) for a family or a dozen burgers for a party. With its thick, rust-proof cast-aluminum firebox, this grill will last for years.
The Summit is Weber‘s high-end grill line that is aimed at people who want even more quality and versatility. This lets you get temperature alerts on your phone as well as flip reminders notifications when it’s time to serve. The warming rack can be tucked away and extended depending on your cooking needs, which is a bit of versatility we really like. You get three burners with 39,000 BTU input plus the dedicated sear-zone burner for an extra 13,000 BTU. We will also run through the main differences as you go through the lineup so if you’re shopping in a store, you know what you’re looking at. The first number following the letter tells you how many burners there are, while the second number refers to features.
There you'll see the ambient temperature, as observed by its very accurate built-in thermometer, and monitor the temperature of your food via the two included probe thermometers. The app doesn't allow you to alter the flame, one of the few drawbacks to the EX-325S. For an electric grill that performs great wherever there is a power outlet, choose the Q 1400 from Weber. This compact but mighty electric grill delivers great flavor and doesn’t require propane or charcoal. Instead, plug the unit into an electrical outlet, adjust the temperature setting, and then get ready to grill.
In 2018 we repeated these tests, with the then-new Weber Spirit II E-310 and our upgrade pick at the time, the Weber Genesis II E-310 (predecessor to our current upgrade pick). When comparing the two materials—without taking anything else into consideration—cast iron holds more heat, so it will leave darker sear marks on your food than stainless steel. But the difference is minimal, especially if you’re not doing a side-by-side comparison of the two. Some folks think cast-iron grates distribute heat better across the grilling surface than stainless steel. But in our research we found that the design and the materials that make up the grilling system (firebox, burners, burner hoods) are what determine heat distribution.
All the food I tested was tender, and the probes did a good job of pinpointing the right temperature. My medium rare steaks were perfectly cooked, and the burger patties were browned evenly across the entire range. The addition of the burner to the side meant I could cook up some delicious BBQ beans at the same time as the meat, and I didn't need to bounce from inside to out to keep everything cooking. While a giant 6-burner grill may not be for everyone, the Monument Denali is the perfect balance of modern thinking, a good price point, and quality that I would expect from our top pick. Like any smart modern grill, the Denali has temperature probes to accurately cook your food and uses an app to connect those probes to your phone. You can set the app to alert you when your food reaches the correct temperature or after a certain time limit.
There are also a few smokers that have no date code; it’s assumed these smokers are the result of manufacturing errors or they may be pre-production models. That impressive performance begins the moment this arrives at your door. After a straightforward set-up, all you need to do is push the ignition button and connect it to the Weber Connect app on your phone.
Weber’s charcoal models as well as some of its gas grills have two wheels on one side that allow the user to move the grill by tilting it backward. Weber's Genesis line offers high-quality grills without super-premium prices, and its EX-325S is designed for easy grilling so you can enjoy each and every party.
The most-premium of the kettles adds Gourmet BBQ System grates (the middle is hinged, so you can pull it out to refuel the center of the fire), a warming rack and char-baskets.
